For us the short answer is no, however it truly depends on the industry.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a tool which is highly impacting the creative industry. When starting up a business, it is tempting to try and cut corners in order to save time, effort and money. However, in terms of branding that would be a big mistake. When you become an entrepreneur, an important thing to remember is that nothing can be done overnight. It will be difficult and the best thing to do is ensure that you are producing the best company you can. Some entrepreneurs use their personal brand as their business brand; however most entrepreneurs want to create a lasting brand which will be well-known on its own.
So, why wouldn’t you want to use AI?
A tool that can complete all of your branding and marketing for you, sounds great right? In theory, yes, but Generative AI learns from content that you put into it and what has already been released into the world. This may not seem like a big deal, but this means that what you think makes your business unique might be used by a variety of different people. If everyone used AI, all brands would look highly similar and there would be nothing for individuals to associate with the brand. As soon as you start implementing AI into your brand, it can be very difficult to make the distinction between what you have made and what has been produced by Artificial Intelligence.
The rise in AI has impacted a variety of different industries and continues to grow and develop, however not everyone is for AI. There have been a few uses of AI in the entertainment industry, for example, that has ended up gaining the companies’ a negative reputation as a large portion of individuals value human creations.
This is the key distinction between whether AI should be used or not. AI has started being implemented in almost every industry and for some it is great such as in the medical industry. However, a core aspect of the creative industries such as music, art, entertainment and design is that they allow people to be creative. These mediums help take the vision in your head and produce something tangible. If AI does this for you, what are you creating? There is one thing Artificial Intelligence cannot replicate from humans and that is Imagination. We have the luxury of having mediums to create and produce anything that comes into our head and this is something that we cannot lose.

There will always be a shortcut advertised to make branding easier, before AI there were an abundance of ‘Free Logo Creators’ which used templates and slightly tweaked them to your brand. These logos may have done the job, but do they stand out to you? Your branding is the first impression of your business to consumers; this means that it is one of the most important aspects of a business. When creating a company, you want to have a brand that connects with you as the entrepreneur but also has an impact on your potential customers.
One of the core values of our company is creativity and making sure that everything we create is the entrepreneur’s vision. By doing this, we are able to produce bespoke marketing and branding, which is uniquely yours. None of our work for clients ever looks the same!
This is why at Aurelia Marketing we create bespoke branding and digital marketing by humans for humans.
